Nightbane

Isla decides to continue her training on the Wildling newland. She also wants to bring them supplies, so Oro suggests that his Sunling friend Enya can help organize and coordinate efforts to help the Wildlings. She is pleased to meet Enya, who grew up with Oro and seems kind and friendly. Isla then creates a portal to the Wildling newland with her starstick and brings Enya and a group of volunteers to Wren’s village. The Wildlings are initially wary, but they warm up when Isla introduces the volunteers. They then spend the rest of the day setting up new food and water storage systems, and Isla eventually falls asleep, exhausted. When she wakes up, she is ready to start training with Oro again.

Oro tries to teach Isla how to grow plants, but she is unable to focus her Wildling power well enough at first. After she breaks down in tears, Isla explains that she does not feel like she deserves to rule. However, Oro comforts her by reminding her how powerful and strong she is, prompting Isla to grow a rose.

Later, Isla decides to explore her powers by stepping through the enchanted forest, which she used to fear when she believed she was powerless.
